There are larger size strainers available to provide more perforated open area to slow the water’s through screen velocity when entering the suction line.

The pump support plug has a compression gasket that holds the plug in the PVC tube and secures the pump discharge pipe. This is accomplished by tightening four compression bolts. An electrical wire clamp comes in each plug.

There are three adjustable, rubber, Motor Support Pads which are included when purchasing the 6" pump support plugs and four pads with 8" pump support plugs. The MSP do not fit into 4" PVC.

How The SCS2 Works

These self-cleaning strainers are perfect for:

Lakes - Ponds - Streams

Debris clogging your pump's intake is eliminated when you install a Sure-Flo SCS2 self-cleaning strainer. Gone are those annoying trips into the water to scrub away leaves, algae, or aquatic plants. Because this screen is always clean, your pump can operate at maximum efficiency. It will provide all the water and pressure it was designed to deliver.

Only 35 PSI is required to operate the strainer.

A small amount of water is returned from the discharge line of the pump to the strainer. Inside, two special nozzles spray against the screen, causing it to revolve. Any debris (i.e. algae, aquatic plants, or leaves) attracted to the screen is blasted off every half revolution. Strainers operate in any position.
